As someone who helps people resolve conflicts without going to court, I wanted to create a business with a practical approach to solving problems. I believe in making bad situations better, which is what the word "ameliorate" means. The logo I picked is a cave, which symbolizes the idea that we need to see things from different perspectives to solve problems. Nobody likes being in conflict, but sometimes we feel like others don't understand our point of view. I want to help you and others see conflicts in a new way.
I am committed to preserving the environment and supporting the community in the MÁLEXEȽ (Malahat) and Quw’utsun territories. My family and I have chosen to reside in Cobble Hill, BC, appreciating its beauty and tranquility. After serving in the Royal Canadian Navy for 15 years, I achieved the rank of Petty Officer Second Class and received recognition for my leadership and initiative. Now, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Management at Royal Roads University, building on my Bachelor of Arts in Justice. My passion for alternative dispute resolution led me to complete programs in mediation and arbitration and to volunteer with organizations like Cowichan Restorative Justice. I am also involved with the Cobble Hill Improvement District and contributing to the betterment of our community.
