FMC is pleased to award Emeritus Status to Colleen Shaw in appreciation for her long term commitment to the FMC certification program and to the organization generally. The FMC Mediator Emeritus designation recognizes long standing loyalty to the values and goals of FMC with its commitment to family in all its forms.
FMC recognizes Colleen’s active support for high standards in the field by her considerable dedication to attaining the FMC advanced certification and maintaining it over many years. She supported numerous others through the process offering her knowledge, ideas, and expertise, not only to the certification committee but also through service on the FMC Board of directors in the early 2000s.
Colleen’s work over the past several years as Director of Training for British Columbia’s Family Justice Services Division has ensured a very high standard of course work development and attention to excellence in training family mediators. She has also helped us to keep the examinations at a high level for FMC, ensuring we truly have the gold standard for certification in family mediation.
Colleen remains proud and committed to the FMC and FJSD partnership. She is equally passionate about the FMC national standard and its development of the Teachable platform with well-trained professionals, providing high quality services to people moving through what is often extremely challenging times in their lives.
Congratulations, Colleen!
