Help support and shape how family mediation education is delivered across Canada!
Family Mediation Canada (FMC) is seeking a Part-Time Education Program Assistant to support the delivery of its national education and training programs.
This role is well-suited to someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, passionate about family mediation and interested in gaining experience in program coordination within a national non-profit organization.
About the Role:
The Education Program Assistant provides administrative and logistical support for FMC’s education offerings, including webinars, virtual training sessions, and online courses. Working closely with the Executive Director, this role focuses on ensuring that sessions run smoothly and that participants and instructors have a positive experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a new or early-career mediator who is interested in deepening their connections within the field and gaining exposure to national-level education and training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
● Coordinate monthly webinars (scheduling, registration, virtual setup)
● Support delivery of virtual professional development sessions
● Assist with coordination of online (Teachable) courses
● Track and organize incoming training proposals
● Assist with coordination of annual conference
● Provide administrative support to the Education Committee
● Maintain the education calendar and basic tracking tools
● Support participant and presenter communications
Qualifications:
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● Comfortable managing multiple small tasks and timelines
● Clear and professional written communication
● Basic comfort with virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Canva, Google Workspace)
● Ability to work independently with guidance
This role does not require extensive prior experience.
Assets (not required):
● Experience with virtual events or administrative support
● Familiarity with online learning platforms (e.g., Teachable)
● Interest in non-profit work, mediation, or access to justice
● Early career experience or training in mediation or a related field
● Fluency in French
Role Details:
● Contract position (approx. 10 hours/week) for 12 months with possible renewal
● Flexible schedule, with some coordination around live events
● Fully remote (Canada-based preferred)
● Compensation: approximately $20,000 per year
